albat hey :)
dr|z3d salutations, albat
albat hi dr|z3d, salutations :)
albat is exclude caps KLMNO is good?
albat or KLMNU is better?
dr|z3d did it change much since your last install, i2p+ ?
albat lately i reinstalled all
dr|z3d you could just leave it as it is, albat. it's pretty nicely tuned.
dr|z3d that is, assuming you're using i2p+?
albat yes correct
dr|z3d then KLMU are already excluded from your local tunnel builds.
albat i did the same from muwire which says exclude caps KLMNO
albat oh ok
albat nice
dr|z3d that's probably overkill. KLMNU is probably fine enough, if you want to override the defaults.
albat ok thanks
dr|z3d you can also tweak your peer test timeouts, if you want to exclude peers that don't respond so quickly.
dr|z3d add routerconsole.showPeerTestAvg=true to your router.config file, or /configadvanced if enabled
albat how do i enable it?
dr|z3d add routerconsole.advanced=true to your router.config file.
dr|z3d after, once you've enabled display of peer testing average, it'll display in the sidebar.
dr|z3d pay attention to the average, the first value, and then you can set your timeout to just above that. so if you've got 650/1500ms, try setting: router.peerTestTimeout=700 for example.
dr|z3d that will remove peers that don't respond to testing in that timeframe from your fast peer tier. you can see that in action on /profiles
dr|z3d that should result in your tunnels not only being fast, but also super responsive. but of course, the router you're connecting to could still slow things down.
dr|z3d also, take the time to enable dev updates if you haven't already. lots of visual improvements to the midnight theme and more.
dr|z3d should be easy if you visit /configupdate
dr|z3d info at the bottom of the page.
albat i prefer not having updates too often
dr|z3d just set the update policy to notify only and download when you feel in the mood for an update.
