dr|z3d apache batik is a bit chunky, but maybe it can be stripped of unneeded crud.
zzz hmm
dr|z3d I was hoping we could just use github.com/jfree/jfreesvg which is much more lightweight.
zzz so comment on the issue
dr|z3d I kinda have already, haven't got as far as trying batik with his mods, so not much more to say. Definitely out of my comfort zone here.
dr|z3d Also no idea how the Service Provider API's meant to function, and why jfreesvg won't worth with it. More investigative work to do. But I thought you might at least find the prospect of SVG graphs in the console interesting.
dr|z3d *work
zzz yeah he's dropping hints but npt exactly a roadmap
zzz no I'm not jumping in this rabbit hole with you, sorry ((
dr|z3d ok, so that's a no then :)
dr|z3d I mention because he's apparently done the work to just drop in the batik library, specify svg as the output format, and it should work. Haven't got around to seeing how to make that happen here yet.
dr|z3d I thought I'd invite you to the party is all. *chuckle*
zzz see if you can figure out how to stitch it all together
dr|z3d yeah, that's the plan.
dr|z3d I just don't think an 8MB batik lib will fly, but as I mentioned, we may be able to strip that down to just what's needed.
zzz its not clear to me if he's saying 12monkeys is an alternative to jfreesvg or a necessary part of the glue
dr|z3d 12monkeys is a wrapper for batik in this context.
dr|z3d and yeah, I'm not entirely sure either.
dr|z3d I think what he's saying is "it works with 12monkeys with zero additional effort, I haven't tried with jfreesvg because it doesn't support the api natively" or something?
zzz well, his branch allows you to provide the imageworker and graphics2d. Does jfreesvg give you either or both?
dr|z3d > A {@code Graphics2D} implementation that creates SVG output.
dr|z3d imageworker, dunno, can't see it explicitly mentioned in the source, but I haven't looked hard.
zzz ok imageworker is a rrd4j thing, you'd have to extend it
StormyCloud zzz has it ever been brought up or discussed about implementing some sort of API or CLI calls for creating tunnels within I2P?
